About Andalusia Texas Single Malt

This entry refers to Lost Lantern 2023 Single Cask #15: Andalusia Whiskey Co. Triple-Distilled Texas Single Malt. Distilled in Blanco, Texas, from 100% American two-row malted barley, the whiskey was triple-distilled on Andalusia’s handmade copper pot still and matured for three years in a new American oak barrel. Lost Lantern selected the individual cask and bottled it at its natural 105.2 proof without chill filtration or added coloring. Only 177 bottles were produced, making it one of the earliest opportunities to purchase Andalusia whiskey outside Texas.

Limited Data

Lost Lantern released this single-cask whiskey with an original suggested retail price of $100 for a 750 mL bottle. Only 177 bottles were produced, and the release is now retired and generally sold out. Approximately $100 to $140 would represent a reasonable specialist-store price when a bottle appears. Some marketplace listings may be substantially higher, but dependable completed auction and private-sale results are too limited to establish a reliable secondary-market value.

Flavor Profile

Peppery oak, peppermint oil, caramel malt, pie crust, and warm bakery aromas lead the nose. The palate develops stone fruit, vanilla custard, malted grain, allspice, clove, brown sugar, and a creamy waffle-cone sweetness. The finish maintains a steady intensity with lingering peppermint, baking spice, toasted pastry, malt, and gently drying oak.
