About Akashi Single Malt 7 Year Bourbon Barrel

Akashi Single Malt 7 Year Bourbon Barrel is a limited Japanese single malt produced by Eigashima Shuzo at the Eigashima Distillery in Akashi, Hyōgo Prefecture. Made from 100% malted barley lightly peated to approximately 10 ppm, it is double distilled in copper pot stills and matured for seven years entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at 100 proof without chill filtration, it offers a rich combination of toasted nuts, grilled fruit, vanilla, baking spices, oak and coastal salinity. Only 492 bottles were released in the United States, making it one of Akashi’s scarcer American-market releases.
