About Akashi Meïsei Blended Whisky

Akashi Meïsei is a Japanese blended whisky produced by Eigashima Shuzo at the Eigashima Distillery in Akashi, Hyōgo Prefecture. Originally developed as a limited expression for the French market, Meïsei contains approximately 45% malt whisky, a higher malt proportion than the standard European-market Akashi blend. The malt and grain whiskies are matured primarily in American oak casks. Bottled at 80 proof, it offers a smooth, sweet profile built around oak, vanilla, warm spices and gentle fruit.
