About Aberlour 11 Year Old Distillery Exclusive – Oloroso Sherry Casks

Aberlour 11-Year-Old Distillery Exclusive – Oloroso Sherry Casks is a limited Speyside single malt matured exclusively in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. Unlike Aberlour’s standard Double Cask releases, it does not combine sherry-matured whisky with American-oak-matured spirit, resulting in a darker, richer, and more concentrated sherry profile.

Secondary Market

Limited Data

A dependable manufacturer-published original price could not be verified. Based on its original positioning as an Aberlour distillery-exclusive release, the estimated MSRP is approximately £69.99 for a 700 mL bottle. Current specialist-retailer listings are generally closer to £120 or £125 because the March 2022 release is now difficult to find. Approximately £100 to £130 represents a reasonable specialist-store buying range. Auction and private-sale results vary, and the available data are not sufficient to establish a dependable secondary-market value.

Flavor Profile

A powerful and richly sherried Speyside single malt opening with dark cherries, caramelized figs, spiced apples, blueberry jam, hazelnut praline, ginger, and clove. The palate develops poached pears, orange marmalade, sweet plums, raisins, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, nutmeg, and warming oak spice. The finish is long, rich, and gently drying, leaving dark fruit, chocolate, orange peel, baking spice, toasted hazelnuts, and lingering Oloroso sherry.
