Akashi Single Malt 4 Year Umeshu Cask is a limited Japanese single malt produced by Eigashima Shuzo at the Eigashima Distillery in Akashi, Hyōgo Prefecture. Made from malted barley, it is matured for three years in ex-bourbon casks and then finished for one additional year in casks previously used to age the distillery’s umeshu, or Japanese plum wine. Bottled at 100 proof, it combines crisp malt and vanilla with soft plum fruit, white chocolate, almonds and gentle spice.
